Death from Covid 19?

So I was talking to a family member about CV19. I overheard my uncle saying that one of his friends believed it was a scamdemic, so he decided to travel. Upon return, he developed a mild cold, tested positive and then died a month later. How do you rebuttal something like that? Is it fairly common for travellers to develop symptoms that can be attributed to Covid?

Terrain answer:

It is quite common for people to travel and eat outside of their normal cuisine, to over eat and to over exert themselves.
