Question:

Does the same premise apply for freezing food as well as cooking foods? I live alone and often fruit goes bad before I’m able to consume it. I can’t afford to buy single pieces of fruit at Trader Joes, Whole Foods. I have to buy the larger bagged fruit ect… does freezing fruits like bananas strawberries ect… ruin the fruit and makes it inedible?

Terrain answer:

Freezing fruit keeps a large portion of the nutrition intact. There is still some loss but it is not at all like cooking food. Cold foods inhibit digestion so its best to bring them up to room temperature before eating. Fresh is always best, but some frozen fruit in moderation is fine.
