I just joined. I hope this is...

I just joined. I hope this is not against the group’s terms, if it is then disregard it. I have been on raw fruit, vegetables and tender greens for 15 years. For the most part my health was quite good. I managed to completely get rid of the symptoms of ulcerative colitis in doing so. In 2018, I got very sick. It was a detox kind of sick. Chills, fever, blocked nose etc. It went away in about 5 days but my nose continued to be blocked. I saw a doctor who said I had nasal polyps. Since then I have had them removed but also I have been having severe coughing fits, almost every night and often in the day also. I saw many natural doctors and holistic doctors. I tried many of the suggestions I got. Nothing worked for me except when I water fast for more than 3 weeks. I did 8 of these long term water fasts since 2018. Every one of these helped get rid of the cough and sinus congestion but after refeeding from 3 weeks to 7 months the symptoms just came back. I did some diagnostic tests which showed that I have been exposed to black mold (mould in UK). I also tested for genetics of being unable to get rid of mold and I do not fall into that category. I did some research and found out there is some disease called LPR, which is related to the enzyme pepsin that can sneak up the esophagus to the throat and sinuses where it can cause chronic coughs and sinus congestion, as well as other issues like vertigo (I did have vertigo about 10 years ago). The acids of fruit seem to make this problem worse (I have been eating fruit since 2006). I don’t know what to do now. I am unable to do another fast because I just completed one in late October. I tried juice diets before, they were a disaster, the symptoms just got much worse while on that diet. I tried going back to cooked vegan foods like steamed potatoes, brown rice, sweet potatoes, this didn’t work either. If someone can shed some light on this, guide me to someone who can help or even some kind words would be helpful.

Terrain answer:

It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of the cause, exposure to mold, but are not seeking to remove the cause.
